Atussin (Atussinum)

Main characteristic:
Chemical name: combined medicinal product;
Main physical - chemical properties: tablets of orange colour with pink shadow. On surface of tablets marbleness is permitted;
Content: dextrometorphane hydrobromide - 0,015 g
ascorbic acid - 0,1 g
excipients: milk sugar, aspartame, orange flavour, polyetheleneglycole 4000, magnesium stearate, yellow dye 6.
Form of output: tablets.
Pharmacological group: Anti-coughing remedy.
Pharmacological properties: Appears anti-coughing action, which is stipulated by selective influence on coughing center of CNS, increases resistance of organism to increased under the influence of the preparation. Not depress the breathing function in therapeutic dose. Pharmacokinetics: Dextromethorphane is metabolized in liver. It is excreted with urine as demethyled metabolites.
Indications for administration: Symptomic treatment of dry non-productive coughing of different genesis. Including flu disease.
Way of administration and dosage: It is administrated to adult 1 tablets 4 - 6 times per day. Maximal 24 hours dose of dextromethorphane is 120 mg.
Side effects: During the administration of tablets of "Atussin" in some patients insignificant weakness, sleepiness, vomiting, dizziness, nettle-rash are possible.
Contraindications: Breathe insufficiency asthma, emphysema, individual sensitivity to dextromethorphane or other components of the medicine.
Interaction with other drugs: Not to be used with inhibitors of monoaminoxidaza.
Conditions and shelf-life: in dry place, away from direct sunlight, away from children. Shelf-life - 2 years.
